Quality check?

visiting the yard with those NDT inspecter and QA/QC Engineer surely making me excited. The UT-Ultrasonic Test was done to make sure that the welding is perfectly accepted before it continue to painting procedure.

Basically NDT covers up to 3 main test:

1) Ultrasonic Test (UT)
2) Radioactive test (RT)
3) Megnetic Particle Inspection

ok..thats all for now..

since monday i didnt wrote any post..
maybe the laziness is bringing me something to think about..

pastu 2-3 days, it was very interesting experience for me.part of it is the visit to the Norimax-TSA for caison coating.a little bit excited for me because it is my first to go for work outside the yard.

beside that, i lost an opportunities to go to MMHE because of slight technical problem, but its not matter for me. i still can do some cool stuf here..learning about NDT-UT, understanding drawing, wintess lifting of the J-tube..waaa..

ok..thats all for today..although i'm a lil bit lazy to write, but i will try my best to gives some story sharing~

today is the last day for the PIR (Project Independence Review) team at the yard. I've attended the last presentation from the team and....the meeting is DAMN!!!Engineering is COOL STUF!

Basically PIR is just a auditing team that visit the yard and comment and give some recommendation to the works that the site team have been done. yup..for each comment has thier own ratings and reaction..i never thought that being an engineer could be tough like that..trying to convince everyone that the site team giving an excellent job!!i like everything that they've done.its inspired me to involve in every inch of thier work.

i've learn a lot from the meeting.abd just for 2 hours, i've something that not easy to gathered. hopefully i can witness some important event in this yard.

last but not least...the celebration..for the 1st time i've come to bagan lalang seafood restoran. it's wonderfull.what bout one more time huh? =)

forgotten to post for wednesday..hopefully it enough for now to me to sent something valuable.
yesterday i'v attended the lifting presentation for the mud mat timber that should be lift today (21st may) but till now there are no sign of lifting have been done.

but..whole day i'm sitting at my table finishing my report and powerpoint presentation.

hopefully it can conclude my whole week succesfully.

i've been ready for the next week planning and as been plan, the whole successive week are coming!!

before i forgotten..yesterday i've witnessed the WPQT-welding procedure qualification test for stainless steel material. wow...its very interesting for me to see something amazing..

i'll walk alone~

another challenging day for today...for the first time i'm going to the yard on my own.the weather is very hot. i'm sweat all over my body..drown inside my own jacket..waaa~

but the most important thing today is..i achieve my goal..going to the yard by myself and capturing some nice scene..

back on the morning..i just sitting down in front the PC and typing the important point for this week..i just realize that what i'm doing now is something more important than what i'm learning...because from experience we can learn more rather than just reading book!

thats all for now..there some suvenior from the yard for the reader..

toolbox!!

today is the 1st Monday for me at the yard. and as usual, the 'toolbox' will be assemble for a safety talk and precaution. its just like a assemble every monday at school, but the difference is we does not sing the national anthem. i think i want to suggest to the board and ask for national anthem to be sang. but....for the foreign workers, they should learn how to sing our song..so..they will appreciate their employer..hik2..

topic of the day is..the important of keeping our head safe. its not just about avoid incident at the workplace, but it also remind us how to make sure our head function correctly..part of the recommendation is..take your breakfast =)

the second thing happen today is..there are PIRR audit at the yard. it some kind of review on the project progress. and the audit from KLCC is auditing the OILFAB.

and as usual..visit the yard..new thing for today..

blasting and painting~!

now i lived in better places..just +20min to the pulau indah and apart from that..i lived in a happy family..for a short outcome..i'm part of a new family!!wow..something that new for me also..everything now is new for me..hopefully i can suit with the condition and most probably...Hj Ayob family can accept me as one of the party~

once again..i followed the welding inspector to the site for a visit.nice looking scene, and i've been approach with some interesting part where the inspector has some issues with the welding at EL1(elevation1) for tangga barat..i can see how mad there are when problem occurs~

"how can u weld like this!?"

hik2..nevertheless..i know they just doing their job..checking for the quality.
ok...that ends my blogging session for now..

F9JT-A

introducing u all to da masterpiece! General Arrangement.
this is the jacket that OilFab-PCSB are doing now. i get it from Abg Shahrul and Abg Hafiz. the welder instructure and structural engineer.

along this drawing was the
1) Construction drawing
2) Peice Mark drawing
3) NDE drawing.

Abg shahrul also provide me some interesting information..
a) MRIR-Material Recieving Inspection Report
b) MVR-Material Verification Report
c) F/U-Fit Up Report
d) VIS-Visual Inspection Report
e) NDT-Radioactive Inspection Report

together..all this information will be usefull for my industrial training, especially for the time i need to do presentation for En Hamdan.
Hopefully i can do it perfectly!

Beside that..today i learn about Offshore Structure from kak haryani.
now i'm doing the powerpoint. not for presentation, but for the learning process.

good for me...but can this all last for long or just 2 days?
the riddle is continue playing in my minds....

can I??

where is the ambulance??

second day for the trainee boy..
i can't imagine why my tongkat ali has gave me some problem. i failed for my urine test..what a joke!absolutely i'm clean ok..even i never see such 'product'. huh..hopefully the safety induction goes as been planed.

new part for the second day, i need to make some reserch on the offshore structure..agian..i'm far from my basic knowledge..how can a chemical engineering student know this thing??well..i will show some of the magic of PBL here. thanks en azizul!-for teaching me PBL.

lets do some job!!

1st is the hardest!

I’m little bit shaky today because this is my 1st time working on a real life industry. But it’s all going smoothly and under control. The 1st day happens very fast. I cannot imagine how my 10weeks will be done after this.

For the 1st time I walk into the KLCC. Level 26 Tower 1, which is the PCSB development division and it, will be my first step towards my huge potential future. How can I go through this all alone??

After my report for duty accomplish, I was required to go to my project site, Oilfab Pulau Indah. The hell is heaven. The fabrication yard is so big and it amazes me a lot. But the thing that amazes me the most is, when I come to the office, I can see the whole PCSB staff is just like a happy family. They are happy with their work, and they happy with the surrounding although living at a desert. As I said before, they’re just like sisters and brothers to me. Hopefully after this I can communicate smoothly with them.

“ASK!ASK!ASK! Don’t afraid or shame to ask.” The 1st word comes from every staff in that building, because the life is full with learning process. If we doesn’t ask, then we wouldn’t learn anything.

The first objective for the 1st day is…making network! I’m lucky because the CSR En Hamdan A.K.A my supervisor is very friendly. He gives me a great brief for my industrial training plus with an additional ‘supplement’. Hopefully I can finish that book. Before that I was introduce to Kak Lily. We are left behind by the team for the lifting session. I’ve used the time to gather some important information and asking about how this project goes around. And then a meet all the staff such as kak haryani, abg shahrul, abg jamil and en baharin.

The 1st task given from en hamdan is go meet kak haryani and gather as many data and information about the project. Kak Haryani is the Structural Engineer for the project and I very thankful because kak haryani is friendly like en hamdan ( I think all the staff is friendly). Kak haryani gives me the slide presentation for the kumang and tangga batu that are very important to me to study. And last part of the day is short brief from the welding instructor abg shahrul.

Tomorrow I need to come early for my safety briefing. The most important thing is…after I attend this briefing, I can go inside the yard!

Fabrication Yard! Here I come!! =)
